Founder & President

Marlon Tyrone Perkins, Sr. is senior pastor of Living Waters Worship Center of Seventh-day Adventists in Dallas, TX, and Alpha International Seventh-day Adventist Church in Arlington, TX. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Rhodes College and a Master of Divinity from Andrews University Theological Seminary. As a sophomore in college, he was awarded The Lyndon B. Johnson Congressional Internship for the Washington, D.C. office of former U.S. Representative Harold E. Ford, Sr. It was during that internship that Pastor Perkins began experiencing the spiritual biddings that would eventually lead him into pastoral ministry, although his collegiate studies had prepared him for a career in law.

Pastor Perkins’ twenty-one year ministry has spanned the west coast, Midwest, and now the south, as he has pastored in the states of Washington, Iowa, and Texas. In addition to a multitude of pastoral duties, he has conducted a number of seminars in the areas of theology, religious liberty and personal development for church and non-church audiences alike. He is also an often sought-after soloist for church gatherings. Having published articles in several domestic and international periodicals, he most recently has set his sights on writing his first book manuscript—on the subject of purpose—due for completion in 2011. With the prayers and assistance of family and friends, Pastor Perkins formed Purpose-Full Ministries in 2004. By the grace of God, the ministry's outreach continues to grow daily.

Pastor Perkins is a native of Memphis, TN.  He and his wife Shurla, a registered nurse and a native of Somerset, Bermuda, are the exuberant parents of two children, Marlon Jr. (age 14) and Reba (age 13). They reside in Arlington, TX.
